Is IMS the right Master's program for me?

Before applying for the IMS Master's program, it is important to gather information about the study programme. Herefore, you can click through our website and look into the curriculum to see what is expecting you.

Also make sure you fulfil all requirements:

Bachelor's in Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field
Final grade of at least 2.3 (German grading system) or equivalent "good" performance
Relevant business-related academic background (e.g. marketing, management, economics modules)
B2 English language skills proven by specific language test or degree certificate
A1 German language skills must be proven by the end of the third semester

Selection Process

As the admision is restricted, you must take part in the selection process (AdH).

Application for AdH in the winter semester:
every year from April 1 to May 30

Application for AdH in the summer semester:
every year from October 1 to November 30

Here, you have to hand in following docuements:

Passport photo or similar in jpeg format
Resume, including relevant internships, personal, professional and social commitment
Self-written letter of Motivation, including personal motivation and added value for the IMS degree program - max. two A4 pages!
Bachelor's certificate - if not yet available, please hand in current transcript of record showing your average grade!

Selection Interview

After the selection review, the top 70 candidates are invited to a selection interview.
Your final admission score is calculated using both your Bachelor's grade (51%) and your interview performance (49%). This score is then used to rank applicants and determine admission to the programme.

In the selection interview your motivation for the IMS Master's program will be assessed.

You should familiarize yourself with the study program well, as you will present your personal interest and professional goals.

Application Process

After receiving your admission score, the official online application process begins.
Please follow the information you will receive.

Enrollment

Once you have successfully secured your place in the IMS Master's program, make sure to pay the semester tuition before the specified deadline. Please note that failure to complete the payment on time may result in the loss of your admission offer.

Once all formalities are completed, it's official:
You are now a part of the IMS Community!

Summer semster starts at the end of September.
Winter semester starts mid-March.
